Or Hadash USA has a torture awareness banner from Rabbis for Human Rights-North America like the one displayed below. The banner is 3' X 9' and is suitable for displaying inside or outside.  We are scheduling the banner to be put up at synagogues, JCCs, and at Jewish events.  It is also suitable for parades, and table displays.  It may be used for a day, a week, or a month  or more at a time.   Please help us schedule the banner to be displayed at your synagogue, JCC or Event. We have developed a sample letter for you to write to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.
The letter is in Word format for you to download, fill out and sign.

Please DO NOT send the letters to Speaker Pelosi directly, but rather RETURN THEM TO US so we can deliver them all at one time for a bigger impact.

This sample letter contains three sections:
- one on warrantless eavesdropping on Americans,
- one on torture,
- and one on indefinite detention, which includes the President asserting power to detain indefinitely -- in essence, to "disappear" -- American citizens and others.

Feel free to include all or some of the language in this letter, from all three or from any one or two sections.
Please note that letters are more effective if they are written in your own words, so this sample letter is intended as a guide.
But if you are short on time, you are welcome to use the language included here.
